Welcome to CNC File.com, your online marketplace for both router ready
toolpath and modifiable ArtCAM CAD models.
How it works
We've integrated software technology developed for a digital medical
health records application. The software is called RightsEnforcer and
it's made by a company called RightsMarket. Essentially RightsEnforcer
is a persistent digital envelope that never lets unprotected source
code out of it's vault, no matter where the file is passed to; a digital
dongle that never leaves the file's side. Even if the file was posted
on a Kazza-like PTP network, it would remain protected wherever it went.
A PTP network would even become a distribution channel. (Click here
to get really technical on how it works)
When an end user receives a file s/he must have both a "Trust
Enabled" application to use the file, and a verifiable account
with CNC File.com, or the file doesn't decrypt at all. In the case of
our Web Based Training, the Trust Enabled application is Internet Explorer
6.0 (one downloads a plugin that modifies IE). In the case of CNC files,
Trust Enabling router controllers is what is essential for the use of
toolpaths, and Trust Enabling ArtCAM (or other CAD/CAM applications)
is essential for modifiable ArtCAM CAD models.
Laser Spec Inc. is currently in negotiations to Trust Enable both ArtCAM
and a wide variety of CNC Router controllers.
What this means for you
Not only will this be a cost effective place for you to buy toolpaths
and modifiable ArtCAM CAD models, it will also be a place for you to
sell them as well. Everyone who makes CAD models has a collection of
models they spent more time on than was allotted or never ended up using.
Not only could they have saved time using a modifiable model, they can
also realize a new revenue stream from the selling of those CAD models.
